Description
Allyl Methacrylate (AMA) is a clear, colorless liquid and a highly versatile dual-functional monomer. It contains both a highly reactive methacrylate group and a slower-reacting allyl group, making it an essential cross-linking agent in the polymer industry.
Uses
Benefits
Benefit: Its differential reactivity allows for the production of \”graft\” polymers where a secondary chain can be grown from the allyl site.
Application Benefits
The primary benefit of Allyl Methacrylate is its dual functionality, which provides unique mechanical and chemical properties to finished products.

| Storage & Packaging | Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. It is sensitive to light and heat. Containers should be kept tightly closed and checked regularly for inhibitor levels. Packaging: Typically available in 200L polyethylene-lined steel drums, IBCs, or specialized stainless steel ISO tanks. |
| Product Stewardship | Product Stewardship: Workers should use full PPE, including respiratory protection (organic vapor cartridges) and nitrile gloves. Environmental release must be prevented as it is toxic to aquatic life. |
| NOTE | AMA should always be handled in a closed system or under high-efficiency local exhaust ventilation due to its strong odor and toxicity. |
| NOTICE | This data sheet is for informational purposes. Users must refer to the manufacturer’s specific Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for precise handling instructions and regulatory compliance in their specific region. |
Compliance & Standards
Certificate
ISO 9001 (QMS), COA, MSDS/SDS, REACH (on request)
Safety
Toxicity: Highly toxic if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin. It is a potent lachrymator (eye irritant) and skin sensitizer. Flammability: Flammable liquid and vapor. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.
